| Larrys 77 GT Liftback |
Larry Purchased his 77, in 95 from the original owner, as a restoration project. Hes replaced the rear main seals, and the head gasket. Also was replaced were the strut cartridges and shocks. Purchased Bridgestone Potenza performance radials, and installed new exhaust, including the resonator. Next was the fuel tank and the radiator recored. A new clutch cylinder was installed. No performance mods were done to the original 20R powerplant, though the compression is down a bit. Larry says, "It runs like a charm on the highway, its a Rock-Solid 20R and has excellent handling, a really smooth clutch too. Its never let me down!". --- Ya, got to love that! | ||
| Larrys other sweet set of wheels is this 84 GTS Liftback. He is the third owner and has had it for 11 years. For rubber he has B.F.Goodrich T/As. Theres no visible rust, with exception of the lower windshield cowl moulding (A common rust area for 3rd generation Celicas). He keeps it parked during the winter months (...we all know what Canadian winters do to our Rides). He also spends allot of time detailing to maintain the paint finish. This ride also Sports a Stock 22R-E Powerplant with no Mods. A rear Louver was added to finish his Ride. --- A great looking car, near mint. | Larrys 84 GTS Liftback |

| Well here it is, my Little 74 Coupe, Its Real Rare! In the 6 years
Ive owned it, I have only come across one other first generation celica that has an automatic-transmission.
Thats what makes this ride Really rare. Now some people like standards over an auto., and i would have to agree with them.
But I would not give up this ride for anything, Apart from an act of God... It has a moderate 18R-C with the compression
down from the factory spec of 160lbs per cyl, to 90lbs per cyl, but at least its even across the board. As you can see it desperately needs
some body work. Fortunately being 27 years old now in March it has never been in an accident, it is totally straight! I put allot into it
when I first got it; new rear springs, shocks, struts, tie rods, well the whole suspension to be exact. The wheels are 14"x8" rear and 14"x7.5"
front, wrapped with 185-60 R14 H-Rated Radial. (quite different from the stock 13" wheels) My Little baby is very tired, but it still wont let me down. I have taken it on many long trips throught the Rock Mountians between BC, and AB. its really fun to drive, and still handles very well, I prefere driving it over my other 2 cars, its Just totally Sweet! oh yeah it took me over 4 years to find another carb for it, but i did find one in a parts yard and with a little cleaning and using some of my original parts, it runs Great!! |
WebMaster Daves 74 Coupe Great News!! Recently I was able to purchase a Oct 1973 Celica GT. (The first year of the GT, pictures to follow) My new baby! |
